I truly love this pairing except there aren't that many fics that have it. For this, you must prepare for the angst but it does get better. I don't really read fics that are angsty from beginning to end anyway. ^_^;; Ever notice that Percy seemed to be the odd one out? The rest of his siblings have a 'double' close to his age while Percy is stuck between the twins and his oldest brothers. In which there was a Weasley to match Percy and the reason behind his determination to act proper.

Don't worry, Harry's an adult in this. Besides, it's only pre-slash. I tend not to read anything but Harry/Draco but I was bored and while browsing rec slash sites, I found this little fic. It's a really nice fic. The war is over, Voldemort is dead, as is Dumbledore. Being a not so nice person, it's not surprising that Snape's only friend was just Dumbledore. And without him, it seems that he has truly realized the meaning of loneliness. Harry and Severus have a strange dream and then wake up as children, with no memory of their adult lives. It's a chibi fic! Chibi fics always rock! Well, not always but this one does! It really is just a friendship fic. Last I heard, the sequel was still in the making.

It might go against some people's sensibilities at the fact that it's 15 year old Harry with an adult Snape. But don't worry, nothing happens until Harry's legal. Either way, this is a very well written series. Angsty, but a good angst. So far, there are five parts in this series. They're not all short either! Especially the most recently finished one. The characterizations are on the spot despite the love. Anyway, it's all believable so that's okay. I really have no words to describe this series. One must really read it to know. Students getting seizures out of the blue or even in one case, dropping dead. It's up to the teachers to find out what is going on and re-make the school into the safe haven it once was.

I've been told that this fic has been recommended all over the place by various sites. Eh, wouldn't hurt for me to rec it too ne? Based upon an ancient Greek custom called 'perdasty' in which an older man takes up a protégé to teach him the world. The DADA teacher, the only one to last for 2 consecutive years, seems to have less than honorable intentions in wanting to take Harry up. Severus tries going to Dumbledore to stop it except it seems the only way to do so would be to fight fire with fire. XD

This fic truly rocks. It's absolutely one of the most well-written HP fics I've read in a good long while. Some parts are explicit, but you can choose to read the 'kid friendly' versions, hence the reason why it's not labeled. It's an AU in which Sirius never goes to Azkaban, Remus has a steady income and Snape can't help but like his archnemesis' son. Sirius rescues his godson from his wretched aunt and uncle and bring him home. Meanwhile, Peter is still on the loose and no one has a clue where he is.

XD;; I haven't been reading Draco/Harry fics whatsoever for a while because I haven't found anything worth rec-ing. Um, for those who are easily squicked, uh, maybe you should skip this one. There's er...snake assisted wankage although I really wouldn't call it bestiality but whatever. Takes place after Harry graduates. He spends the summer working as Groundskeeper and meets a very interesting snake.

Some parts of this make me go 'Huh?' but overall it's a pretty good story. Unfortunately, most of the Weasley's are bastardized. A 'what if?' fic in which the wizarding world turns its back on Harry Potter. His connection to Voldemort is thrown out in the open and people begin to suspect that he is following the Dark Lord.

There aren't that many SS/HP fics that I like since I'm more of a DM/HP fan. But since there seems to be a deficit in good fics of that pairing, I looked for others. Hence, this fic. Post-Voldemort defeat. Dumbledore sends Harry into the past to do Order business. While there, he sees his lover from avastly different perspective, that of a teacher to a student.

There's not much of a Tom/Harry pairing. It's really mostly gen and it remains like that till like 2-3 chapters from the end. I like this fic because of the glimpse into a not so insane Voldemort. I generally don't look for Harry Potter fics anymore so I really wouldn't know if there are better ones out there. Voldemort tries a potion to restore his youth except it also reverts his memories to the same time period so he has no recollection of the deeds he had done as the Dark Lord. So a confused Tom goes to Hogwarts, the only familiar place in his mind to reluctantly seek the help of Dumbledore.

This is a short piece but strikes at the heart of the relationship between Harry and Snape. While the Wizarding world and the professors unconsciously looked up to Harry to save them from the Dark Lord, there has always been one man who knew better than to rely on a teenager to accomplish such deadly task. Years later, Harry expresses his thanks and gratefulness to the man who tried to keep him a child.

It is a logical fact that someone who lived in the hell hole called Azkaban would not come back out the same person they were when they went in. Thus is the case with one Sirius Black. Finding his memory spotty in places, he has taken to writing down his memories on sticky notes, often times leaving them where he remembered them. Though the habit drives Remus up the wall when he finds them in bizarre places, he doesn't have the heart to say anything about it. Angsty and bittersweet in the way that this pairing can only be.
The Blind Date

Her portrayal of Percy is a bit off, I believe. He's not quite as obnoxious seeming as he appears in the book. But then again, I sorta hate canon!Percy so that's okay. She doesn't go off in the other end of the spectrum so he's still believable. The twins come to the conclusion that their brother needs to go on a date and so they set up a blind date for him. What he doesn't know, is that his blind date is Oliver and throws a little confusion into his life.

If you don't like long fics, I suggest you avoid this one. It's currently 60 parts and counting with more to come. Yes, I read gen fic despite the amount of yaoi, slash and shounen-ai spattered across the rec pages. I just like my gen written in a certain way. This is one of those what would happen after Voldemort's defeat type of story that obviously occurs after Book 5. No denial here folks. A story in which the final battle is covered, Snape adopts Harry and the Boy who Lived goes into Auror training.

I had wanted to rec this earlier but I wanted to see how the story progressed before doing so. Read about one too many fics that were good in the beginning but then just died about 4 or 5 chapters in so I'm a bit wary. This one isn't like that at all. Each chapter makes me hang on the edge of my seat and wait for the next. I love Cobalt Violet's Sirius, keeps making me want to glomp him. XD;; Takes place during the Marauder's 7th year. Lupin is a year older than the rest and takes a job as the DADA professor. Sirius is determined to get him fired due to a bet and willing to do anything to win. And I do mean anything.

Wow, a H/D fic. I don't think I've recced one of these in a long time. XD;; It's been bookmarked in my favorites for awhile but I just got around to reading it since I wasn't in any mood to read HP. Draco's characterization is heartbreaking. It is of a person who's cornered and can't see a way out but to submit to the inevitable. He meets Voldemort for the first time and realizes that the Dark Lord isn't the leader he had expected. Doesn't help that he's having nightmares, the same nightmares Harry has been having for the past 2 years. The slow tentative truce between Harry and Draco eventually evolves into something else. It's not so slow as to bore you nor is it so fast that you wonder if they're rabbits in heat. It's a nice pace. Dislike that spans so many years of school takes a while to change after all. This takes place during their 7th year. Draco has to make a choice: to join Voldemort or to ask for Dumbledore's protection and go against his father.

Another one of those Draco turns away from Voldemort stories. XD;; Though it's not because he joined the side fo the Light, it's more like he joined for the sake of Harry. You can really feel Draco's imbalance when he finally beats Harry in Quidditch. After 6 years of getting defeated in the game by the Boy Who Lived, it's a bit of a shock to actually beat him for once. A pseudo-relationship develops between them, though it's mostly just attraction and nothing more. Later on, Draco has to choose between Harry and Voldemort. You get the sense that he really isn't there to help the cause, more like he'll help because it'll help Harry.
